Hello, my name is Ian and I'm a 54 years old footy fan from London. Now you may think that I love the Premier League
and all it's attendant hyperbole and bullshit.
Totally wrong . You see I'm a fan of the underdog. I love the FA Cup and the fact that a small non-league club can take on the giants of the game and sometimes beat them to great acclaim. David slaying Goliath if you like.
In this blog, I shall take a peek into the grassroots of the game, people that play the game for a few quid, but essentially
for fun. That doesn't distil the crunching tackles, the occasional mass brawl and match officials being criticised (just like the
top level!)
I shall endeavour to give the reader a flavour of the sights, the sounds, the smells (of food!) and the general atmosphere of
football at the lower, but in my opinion, better levels. The blog will be a warts and all travelogue of all things non league football.
Please follow and enjoy the ride!
